Patrick’s journey began in Austria and found a home in Chiang Mai more than a decade ago. After years in a world defined by production and precision, a quiet spark began calling for something more — and glass awakened it.
In its heat, softness and transformation, he discovered a way to turn intuition into form and emotion into shape.
FusionGlassArt is his expression of that journey — art born from discipline, curiosity and a deep respect for craft.

Volker
Volker is the technical foundation of our studio — an engineer who transforms ideas into functional reality.
He builds our kilns, develops molds, constructs tools and solves every technical aspect of the fusing process with precision and calm inventiveness.

As the original founder of Claritas, he has spent a lifetime shaping, firing and refining glass with a sensitivity that only years of experience can create.
Now, in his seventies, he shares his artistic intuition and deep technical knowledge with our team — a quiet mentor whose hands have shaped generations of glass art.

Our artisans design, cut, layer and fuse glass in a studio process that demands time, precision and patience. Each piece spends hours in the kiln and additional time in hand-finishing — a rhythm no machine can replicate.

DESIGN & SKETCHING
Every piece begins with hand-drawn shapes inspired by nature, light and the textures of Northern Thailand. Form and intention are defined long before the glass is cut.
PRECISION CUTTING
Raw glass sheets are measured, trimmed and precisely cut and hand assembled. Each cut must be balanced and clean to prepare the artwork for the fusing stage.
KILN FUSING
Layers of glass melt together in a slow, controlled firing process. Temperature, timing and symmetry are monitored with absolute precision to achieve perfect clarity.
HAND FINISHING
Surfaces are refined, edges are polished and each piece is inspected individually. This final touch gives every object its signature FusionGlassArt purity.
